About the National Youth Press

Founded in 2024, The National Youth Press is a bipartisan digital publication for students across the country to share editorials on hyper-local issues. Entirely student run (with the exception of award programs), the website it continuously accepting submissions.

The Press operates on the following principles:

  1. Free Expression: NYP upholds the freedom of its writers to express their unique viewpoints, encouraging bold, unfiltered, and authentic storytelling.
  2. Preserving Voice: Contributors have the right to maintain their personal voice and style, ensuring every piece reflects the individuality of its creator.
  3. Respectful Dialogue: NYP fosters a space for meaningful and respectful conversations, even around controversial or challenging topics.
  4. Mentorship Without Interference: University mentors guide students through the editorial process without compromising the writer’s original vision or intent.
  5. Commitment to Integrity: Every contributor is expected to uphold journalistic ethics, ensuring accuracy, fairness, and accountability in their work.
